Christmas wreath

I've meant to post this since we got our wreath three weeks ago! The woman who owns the flower CSA (Community Supported Agriculture),

which I wrote about so often this summer, made it.

It also had two bulbs of garlic on it, but we brought them inside. Oh, and we are hoping to get the house painted this summer. It has been over a decade! Geez, Louise!

Were you not tempted to take the hot peppers inside too?

  4. I was hoping you would post a wreath and am so happy that you did, Nan. It is beautiful and I do love those red chili peppers on it. How interesting to use them in an outdoor wreath, as well as the bulbs of garlic.
I've been know to use the term "Geez Louise" and chuckled seeing it in your post.

  5. It's a beautiful wreath! I have never seen one with garlic, I think.
Isn't it almost unbelievable how we have already had the 4th Advent Sunday, and Christmas is still almost a whole week away?
The "Baby's first Christmas" ornaments are sweet!

    1. My first thought when I heard about Berlin was of you. I've told Tom about the Christmas markets and how I'd love to go some day.
That is one of her gifts - she uses different things from nature than are often seen. Thanks about the ornaments - they are much beloved.

  8. She is as talented with the wreaths as with the flowers. It is beautiful and I love how she used what is left of her garden produce -- the garlic and chili peppers.

    1. I love how she does this, too. In the bouquets and now in the wreaths. I've already signed up for next summer's CSA!

  10. My favorite kind of wreath! And I know houses have to be painted but there is a farmhouse beauty in that wood now, just the way it is.

    1. Aw, thanks. Such a nice thing to say. The moldy look on the east side might change your mind, though. hahaha
