Today's picture/Week six CSA flowers

I decided to take the photos outdoors because the colors show up so much better. Can you believe how beautiful this is!

  1. Very lush and beautiful. Zinnias, snapdragons, it even looks like maybe some purple basil.
You've inspired me, Nan. While I don't have a floral CSA here, a local produce stand is growing flowers in one of their fields. My first bouquet is just about done, so, I'll be heading over for some more along with some fresh picked sweet corn.

    1. Yes, there is more basil. It seems to be there every week. Lucky you for corn!

  2. They're beautiful Nan. Out walking today, I happened across some people picking up their CSA boxes (produce) and thought of you. (The pickup place was at a natural foods cafe where I stopped.)

  5. Northern summer in a bouquet! I'm sure you enjoy them thoroughly. Do they fade at different rates and turn into smaller bouquets as the week goes by?

    1. Such a beautiful description! The basil gets removed first, and used! And then as the week goes on I'll pull a flower as it goes by. Sometimes the bouquet makes it all the way till the next Wednesday, sometimes only a few fade and I move the bouquet to a smaller vase, and sometimes I do make a couple smaller arrangements. I change the water each morning and spend time just looking at each individual flower.
