I'm such a girl for the living room. I really like to stay in my nest and not move. I travel in my mind, and that's a rigorous state of journeying for me. My body isn't that interested in moving from place to place. bell hooks
Ha, I like this quote. I guess you could say I am a lot like this. I do get the travel bug from time to time though. We I retired (early) I was afraid that I would get bored. A friend said to me 'you will never be bored because you can just be.' I guess he was right.
Oh yes...I'm a 'nester' too, who likes an occasional adventure! Adventures are fun, but they make me appreciate home when I return. The journeys in my mind are also less expensive (monetarily at least!).
I wish I dared to stay in my nest longer. I love it there and have to force myself to get up and walk or move sometimes. But I do it because I read too much health stuff. I want to know more about this lady and will go look her up as soon as I send this.
This quote describes what I'm becoming! I'm learning how to sit still....I love this quote. I've read some of her poetry (not enough of it, by far) and she is quite an interesting writer. Thanks for this lovely quote, Nan. I really don't want to move much at all during this long winter we are having.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.

ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing when someone says words that describe what you feel?!
