Yea, I know how you feel! No snow over here, but had to switch the heating on at 2.00 as it got so cold again. I want to feel the warm stuff on my head, on my arms, on my hands - Come ON Spring! Burst forth!
Glad to see you posting again, Nan! I missed you! (But also understand the need for breaks!!) Our first day of spring is also exceedingly white and cold -- flakes flying now, it is sticking to the 6 inches of snow we have gotten in the past 2 days. We will see spring in late April if we are lucky.
The snow looks so pretty on that tree in the foreground, lovely with the sun on it. I still think snow is magical, I suppose we don't have enough here for the excitement to have worn off! An item on the news today said that the hibernating animals were having a very hard time with such a late, cold spring here in the U.K. Apparently they will have used up all their stored body fat and it's still too cold for them to venture out. My body fat is intact but it is too cold for me to venture too. Carole
That crabapple is ancient, and has made a few appearances here during 'apple blossom time.' That is really awful about the animals. But you are very funny.
Yes, much different from my photo today! How much snow did you get? We're supposed to get some over the next three days. Annie has her paws crossed. She loves the cold, snowy weather!
LOL!!!! That's pretty much our view here in Ottawa. After our big snow fall on Tuesday, we are now getting flurries almost every day. And it's cold. Barely above zero. I think rather than give in to despair (which I can do too easily at this time of year, waiting for spring), I am going to curl up with a good book or three this weekend and thumb my nose at winter! It is beautiful, but I want some green things growing now, please.....
Winter's been long at your house! So many people here are getting ready to leave so that they'll be "up north" by Easter....they're going to get a little taste of the Winter they missed!
