Saturday Sally/February 28

The Saturday Sally this week is a nice little journey from New England to Mississippi to Wales.

Another wonderful poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow here.

And here is a review of a book I loved and wrote about.

For inspiration, encouragement, bravery, faith, and hope, you'll want to visit here.

  2. Oh, thanks, Maggie! If you come back, I've wanted to tell you that April is my Eudora month. I'm going to read just her for the whole month in honor of her 100th birthday!

  3. Oh, Nan - Eudora Welty will bring you joy and laughter and tears. She writes in a fine and gentle voice about the American South.

Do you know about the Eudora email system? There's a great story about how that came to be named, and I'm writing an entry in my Reading Diary about it.

April will be fine indeed, in spite of one of my blog friends from UK who calls it the "cruelest month"

  4. Janice, thank you. I have read some of her work over the years, and have actually written a little here about a few (you could type her name into the search bar if you want), but I still have a lot on my shelves I've never read. I'm looking forward to immersing myself in EW during her birthday month. I'll be looking for your entry about the Eudora mail. A long while ago, this was our mail program. And I'm a big fan of April. :<)
