Your tree must give a wonderful perfume to your living room. I have a cushion from Maine filled with balsam needles, I have had it a while now and it's fading a little, but I sometimes press my face to it just to smell that wonderful perfume, I love it and it reminds me of the happiest holidays of my whole life spent in beautiful Coastal Maine.
When I was very young we had colored lights like yours in our tree - they were American and very unusual at that time. Now we have candles in our tree, I cut the tree the day before Christmas Eve and decorate it on the morning of Christmas Eve. Margaretha
Thank you all for stopping by. Imagine real candles! I love that, em. The big bulbs we use are considered old-fashioned now, since they were big in the 1950s, but Tom and I love them, really love them so much more than the little ones that sometimes offer hot pink - not Christmasy one bit!
