Good for you!!! I love to see all the books people buy this time of year. I've had such fun putting my favorites in the hands of customers.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your header!!!
Thanks, Les, I do too! I bought it a while ago and had it framed for the kitchen. :<)
ReplyDeleteThe header is cute. I got my husband The Private Patient by PD James. I think that I'm getting a craft book for Christmas but I have so many at the house I have not read yet I'll be pleased with just the one. Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, your header is a riot - love that!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of books! Have fun! I'm so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI L-O-V-E your Saturday Evening Post Banner. Where did you find that? And that is quite a list of books. Did you buy them fresh and new? If so, thanks for doing your part to get us out of this economic mess in which we find ourselves. Merry Christmas to you.
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like Barnes & Noble will survive for another year! Yesterday I wrote about the books I bought, too. Hopefully after Christmas, there will also be books received as gifts;-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family, Nan!
Jodi, we got The Private Patient for Tom's parents who are in their 80s - we thought it inspiring that James is still writing at their age! And both Little Heathens books were for people in their 80s. Not only is the author their age, but she writes about their time of being kids.
ReplyDeleteKay, it is a lot of books! And I'm very psyched for the ones I know Santa is putting in my stocking.
JoAnn, I bought from my local independent, Bas Bleu online, and amazon this year.
And thanks Jodi, Susan, and KSV W. about the border. I'm tickled with it. I got it at one of those retro diners. They had a whole section of old magazines and magazine covers wrapped in plastic. I couldn't resist this one.
KSV W. Yes, they were all new ones. I like to do my part keeping the economy going! I did buy several books from used booksellers this year, too.
Books...books...books...wahoo!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am at the at one day surgery waiting room desk, I notice how many people bring a book, and I ask for a review of their book. That's how I get new ideas. I'll have to look over your list one more time. Happy Reading! And Happy Holidays, too!
I gave most of my children books and my 6 year old granddaughter wanted a diary. I received several to add to my reading pile. Like you I love books. I am surrounded by them.
ReplyDeleteHave a good holiday. I am so pleased I entered the internet world last March and discovered you.
Thanks for coming by on this Christmas Eve day, Mare and Ernestine. Oh, books. They are so important to so many of us. And I'm glad to know you, too, E.
