Housework/Bathroom/floor choice

This is what we've chosen for the bathroom floor color. It is called African Desert. Bold, isn't it?! I figure if I don't do something bold now, at 60, I never will. :<)

The walls will be Benjamin Moore's Wythe Blue, and the casements, Linen White, to continue the colors from the adjoining bedroom.

I'm happy, happy. It will be put down the last thing after the beadboard and paint are finished.

  2. I remember how frightening it was to choose things for our little shower room at Cranberry Cottage when we had it redone. I have never done anything like that before. It got easier when we had the floor and toilet in the bathroom and the entire half bath done here at the house. You keep wondering if the choices will look okay once used. It all turns out in the end but I found it stressful to have to choose. What about you? I can't wait to see it all done.

  3. Nan, I love your bold floor color.
The 4 homes I built over the last few years I went with neutral colors. Basically because I knew the homes would be on the market.
    Your room will be striking.

  5. Very pretty floor choice, Nan. It looks like it will blend nicely with that cute shower curtain of yours.

  6. I can't wait to see the final results!!

I remember how worried I was about the cranberry walls in our dining room, but with the white trim, it's stunning! It's our favorite room in the entire house and everyone who visits agrees.

    Looking forward to more pictures!

  7. I love the orangish color - it's almost the same as the wall color I painted in my family room a few years ago. My mother-in-law cringed when she saw the open can of paint, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it on my walls!

  8. If I show my finished classroom pictures, will you show your finished bathroom?
