Mrs Bale has a new weather program

Mrs Bale can now tell you all kinds of weather details. Right now at 3:30 pm it says:

33º
Wintry Mix (don't you just love that word, 'wintry')
1 mph wind from the west
100% humidity!
1.9 mile visibility

And to this, Mrs B might add: grey (her spelling), raw, damp, a good day to be indoors.

  1. Nan: The beautiful cards and the Stuart McLean book arrived. Thank you very much. For some reason I had not been getting your blog updates on Bloglines. I shall have to try to correct that situation. It looks 'wintry' in today's entry and we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day, but as they say the sun was thin and cool!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  2. I adore your clothesline. Don't you have a collection of photos of clotheslines? Might we see some of them?

  3. It sounds like a perfect day to read but alas ... we will all be cooking! This Sewickley morning is 65 degrees and balmy/rainy; but it is calling for 28 degrees and snow by evening! Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Happy Thanksgiving. It's 62 this morning here in Virginia. Yesterday I wore shorts. I also wish that I could look out on your wintry weather.

  6. This pretty much looks like our backyard on Wednesday! We had our first snowfall with temps in the 20s.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend. Enjoy your day.

  8. Mari-Nanci, she is a character in a British television series that is shown in the US on PBS called As Time Goes By. You may read more about it here:

I first wrote about Mrs Bale before I knew you. You may read the initial posting here:

And if you are really interested, she has her own category on the sidebar, under "if you're looking for something specific"

    Thanks for asking about her.

  9. Glad they got there safely, Peg!

Mary, that is a little project in my head. :<) I'd like to drive around and snap views of people's lines, but haven't done it yet. Thank you for remembering. I've posted occasional photos here, and offered quotes and talked about a clotheline book. If you type clothesline into the search window, I think you can see them all.

Thanks to everyone for the nice Thanksgiving wishes.
