Quote du jour/Anthony Trollope

This habit of reading, I make bold to tell you, is your pass to the greatest, the purest, and the most perfect pleasure that God has prepared for his creatures. It lasts when all other pleasures fade. It will support you when all other recreations are gone. It will last until your death. It will make your hours pleasant to you as long as you live.
Anthony Trollope

  3. Good old Anthony and I tell you now that if you read his books the hours and hours of pleasure you will have will be endless. He is a simply wonderful writer and always sounds a thoroughly nice man as well. He writes with such humanity and warmth that he could not be anything else. This quote merely confirms my feeling about him and is going into my brand new quote book just started today
