  4. Nan, when I saw the peonies, I thought the same thing that you wrote in your comment to Laura. Drats. Well, I'm going to say it anyway--that pink is such a soft, gentle color...and the bowl is pretty too. there!

  6. Aisling, what color do you have? How many plants? I'd really like more. Peonies look good before, during, and after bloom. A perfect plant!

Catherine Mary, you are so funny. :<) That bowl is a large version of the bowl the white peony was in. They are part of a punch bowl set; the big bowl for punch and the small one goes upside down as a support. But since I never make punch, I use them for flowers in the summer. It's fun to put blooms with no stems in a bowl.

Janet, what a compliment! I'm so thrilled you are back in the blogging world.

  7. I am so sad my peonies didn't bloom this year. However, your gorgeous pictures have inspired me to plant more (pinks and reds) in another location for next spring.

  8. Why a different location, Les? I thought yours didn't bloom because of a late frost; am I mistaken?

  9. You're correct, but I also want to plant some in a new location where they get a bit more sun. I have a bunch that I can't even see from the yard anymore. The Dogwood and other various shrubs have grown so tall, they hide the pink peonies that are planted back along the property line. One can never have to many, right?
