Quote du jour/Fred Rogers

Parents are like shuttles on a loom. They join the threads of the past with the threads of the future and leave their own bright patterns as they go, providing continuity to succeeding ages.

  2. I feel the same way. I learned so much from watching the show and listening to his tapes, right along with my children. My husband and I both think he was one of the great people, a wonderful teacher, a real spiritual leader.

  4. Thank you for quoting Fred Rogers. I thought he had one of the most beautiful, sensitive, and kind souls that God had ever blessed a man with.

He is like comfort food for my spirit!

  7. One of my favorite quotes from Mr. Rogers is from a song, "you can never go down the drain." It was originally meant to calm children's fears of going down the drain with the water in the tub. I try to remember him singing this whenever I'm fearful.
