Actually, I have a yellow one now. I had the 'good exercise' for years and years, and it is a treat to let the KitchenAid do it for me. :<)Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-72746140027629814742009-05-20T14:43:51.586-04:002009-05-20T14:43:51.586-04:00Lovely looking bread!! My regular one is on the blink and I'm using a little hand mixer from Value Village.

I've always done bread by hand. I have been baking a lot lately. Now that we have this cold weather it is so nice to have something freshly baked to nibble on.brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00593410879818799522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-49604035750345061982007-01-27T16:48:00.000-05:002007-01-27T16:48:00.000-05:00I am sure that bread baked in an Aga would be espe...I am sure that bread baked in an Aga would be especially delicious! :<)Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-10288117800435882212007-01-27T16:07:00.000-05:002007-01-27T16:07:00.000-05:00Well I have the exact same food mixer and an Aga s...Well I have the exact same food mixer and an Aga so there's really no excuse for me!dovegreyreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03476787364182624719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-25552231158010369722007-01-26T16:22:00.000-05:002007-01-26T16:22:00.000-05:00Well, sometimes in a regular loaf, I've found it s...Well, sometimes in a regular loaf, I've found it sags in the middle during baking. I guess my attempt at encouragement failed. :<( So many people feel like if it doesn't work the first time, it never will, and I was trying to let you know that the success or failure doesn't always depend on anything tangible. It doesn't take that much time or effort with a KA. I mix everything in it (saving those 300 stirrings I used to do with a spoon), let it rise in that bowl, and then knead it into loaves. The biggest time thing is just being home for that period of time.Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-10249673968183191222007-01-26T15:12:00.000-05:002007-01-26T15:12:00.000-05:00What do you mean by "without a droop in the middle...What do you mean by "without a droop in the middle" ask she who hopes to try her hand a baking a loaf this Sunday. I have to admit, I'm not sure I like the idea of baking bread being such an tempermental endeavor.

BTW, I love the color of your mixer. Mine is plain old ugly beige. But as you know, I've had it for almost 26 years!Leshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08345657431432380804noreply@blogger.com
