I thought I was perhaps the only one who made plant choices for such oddly personal reasons! Did you know there is a Campbell magnolia? Our garden is in zone 4 and the plant is so reliable and so undemanding it is a pleasure to grow. Bees, hummingbirds and butterflies love the blooms.
