I find that even if I haven't read a writer's work, I still very much enjoy listening to, or reading, an interview with them.Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-60833853938234510592013-05-23T09:47:13.537-04:002013-05-23T09:47:13.537-04:00I like Diane Rehm very much as well. I did hear the Edna O'Brien one... we were driving, running errands and pulled over to hear the end of it.Sallie (FullTime-Life)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15442598857394838271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-62900312421116547042013-05-20T15:59:59.595-04:002013-05-20T15:59:59.595-04:00It sure is a cool car, as is she!It sure is a cool car, as is she!Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-14478897388566161272013-05-18T21:11:25.499-04:002013-05-18T21:11:25.499-04:00Love this post, esp. the video. However, I thought your post was a lovely celebration of three women of courage, character and great spirit. Maya Angelou is one of my heroines, and I love her autobiographical books, and the way she has always stood up for the things she believes in, and how she is able to forgive people for the awful things that happened to her as a child. Edna O'Brien is another iconic figure, who broke new ground with her novel The Country Girls and was unafraid to explore issues that people didn't even acknowledge, let alone talk about in public. It's easy to forget just how shocking the book was considered to be when it was published. And as for the 101-year-old driver, all I can say is wow, what an amazing lady.Christine Hardinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09814026435889782750noreply@blogger.com
