I have read almost everything she has written with the exception of the Tommy and Tuppance books. My enjoy the quality of the writing and the depth of the stories by Jacquiline Winspear, for fun I also enjoy Joan Hess, M.C. Beaton, Emily Brightwell, and all the stories of the Pennyfoot Hotel Series by Kate Kingsbury. I am new to blogging so have been viewing various blogs and yours impressed me.Words on Paper-https://www.blogger.com/profile/10554932281356140101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-57402692737607492322011-02-21T10:29:58.392-05:002011-02-21T10:29:58.392-05:00Thank you, Cait. I've only begun reading AC in later years and am so enjoying her work.

Yvette, you described it perfectly - 'cold hearted wickedness' -
I am very fond of the actor too. He and David S. were born for those roles!

Ann, I still have many, many to go! And thank you! I'll let you know when it arrives. I can't wait.

Sallie, there is a ton of info here:

http://us.agathachristie.com/story-explorer/reading-order/

I've just copied and pasted all their lists and put them in drafts in my email so I can refer to them often.Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-31657022420652251482011-02-20T22:40:36.069-05:002011-02-20T22:40:36.069-05:00It's interesting that you didn't care as m...It's interesting that you didn't care as much for this book and then you discovered that it was one Agatha herself barely remembered. Maybe because it lacked the warmth as you pointed out? I am going to look for the companion book. My Kindle editions of the Jane Marples have a list of her books at the end with brief reviews. That's really helped with my goal.Sallie (FullTime-Life)http://www.travelingrainvilles.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-2118706042715029042011-02-20T22:30:23.128-05:002011-02-20T22:30:23.128-05:00Wonderful review. This is one of the few Christies I've only read two or three times. But that's it. I doubt I'll ever read it again. The ending and the reasons for the murders and the really cold hearted wickedness, left me feeling - blech!. You're so right: there's no one in this book to really like, except, of course, Poirot and Hastings. (Well, I did like what little I learned about the flyer - if I'm remembering correctly.)

I am a big Hastings fan, especially since I love the actor who plays him in the pbs shows.Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-32157577992039558382011-02-20T14:33:02.790-05:002011-02-20T14:33:02.790-05:00I love your header pic, so inviting!
