Letters from a Hill Farm
Hush Little Baby Day lily? Oh Nan, you know I love this name and the deep love behind it!
It really is perfect, isn't it?!
Clever choice of a name! Your grandchildren are so darling. I can't imagine they would ever cry.
It is a great name. I just happened upon it, and of course, had to plant some! They know how to cry - ha ha!
Well, here I am, Nan! Thank you for nudging me back into blog life and what a lovely post to see on my first visit for months. I was inspired by your day lily posts to plant some in my garden several years ago and they bring such joyful colour to my days. I haven't seen this beautiful Hush Little Baby yet but I will try to hunt some down. I am going to be very busy for the next few days catching up on all the posts I've missed. I see a lot of gardening and baking ahead!
Hooray! I'm really pleased. And I did get your email, too. I think daylilies are the perfect flower. Easy, no trouble, and the most beautiful colors! Plus, they spread so you can divide them and have more plants!
What a lovely way to commemorate the new members of your family!
oh, thank you! I was so pleased to find it.
What a sweet name for this daylily, Nan - and such a nice tribute and gift for the babies. You are finding the most delightful of ways to commemorate these two sweeties.
What a lovely tribute. They will multiply like your sweet little darlings. :)
Beautiful flowers and beautiful reason for planting them. I'd never heard of these before, Nan.
Beautiful and fun! How perfect!
I absolutely adore the way you make your garden a living scrapbook of your life! Beautiful. Also, love the pic in your sidebar of your kids and their kids. Wonderful.
I am really going to try and respond to your comments as soon as they come in! Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
