Quote du jour/Edwin Way Teale

The world's favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible in May.

  Edwin Way Teale (1899-1980)

Addendum: I just saw that I used this very quote on this very day in 2008! Ah well, they are great words no matter how often we read them.

  3. I always say that in October but find that I'm beginning to appreciate spring more than I used to. Is Teale the one who wrote Autumn Across America? Or something like that? I remember loving it years ago.

  4. He was such a popular writer when I was growing up. I think my Aunt Fran first introduced him to me with the book North with the Spring.

  6. So glad to see that people still appreciate Edwin Way Teale's books. He and Hal Borland were brilliant.
