Letters from a Hill Farm
Did you HAVE to remind us? Here in the Midwest we are hoping for an early WET fall.
I'm so sorry for all of you there.
Nan, each season is special and I am reluctant to let this one go. I'm probably the only one here that hopes Jonathan Schwartz knows his stuff. Happy Sunday evening.Summer afternoon-summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. Henry James British (US -born) (1843-1916)
The only time I'm happy to let summer go is when it has been too hot. But this one has been perfect. Love the HJ quote. I should read more James.
I'm not sure who Jonathon Schwartz is or where he's from , but he could very well be writing about our area of Oregon. Really summer just started here -- it better not be over too soon.
He is a NYC presenter on Sirius XM radio 40s on 4 (noon-3pm). He loves the old standards, and knows almost all there is to know. And he loves the Red Sox.
I am changing how I post your much appreciated comments. Since I began the blog, I've waited to post them until I had the opportunity to respond. Sometimes that's taken a while, so I've decided to moderate them and post them as soon as possible, and then I'll respond when I get a chance. Also, you may comment on any posts, no matter how old, and I will receive notice.
