Letters from a Hill Farm
I'd never heard of this group, Nan. But then I've never heard of most current musical groups. Enjoyed the video. Jaunty.LOVE that large lettuce spread across your header. GORGEOUS!
If you like Hot Tuna, you can catch them fairly regularly (both acoustic and electric versions) via streaming from WOUB in Athens, OH (http://http://woub.org/listen/furpeaceranch). The show Live from Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch airs Fridays at 7:00 PM Eastern, repeating Saturday night at midnight Eastern. And Fur Peace is not just Hot Tuna--recent guests included Country Joe McDonald (of . . . and the Fish), Tommy Emmanuel, and the California Guitar Trio.
Thank you!! I will tune in. And I love Country Joe!!
Oh, not so current, in the sense of a 'new' group. Jorma and Jack were in Jefferson Airplane, and spun off into Hot Tuna over 40 years ago! They are really wonderful. Such good playing. That lettuce tastes as good as it looks! Thanks!
Ditto to Yvette's comment. Now I'm hungry for fresh lettuce and stomping my feet, recalling Jefferson Airplane and noticing from the link that Hot Tuna will be in these parts in November. Hmmmm?
They are great! I think you won't want to miss them!
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
