  1. Dear Nan,
I love Doris Day! Didn't you love watching her in her movies when you were a kid?
I did a post about her titled "Doris Day and Dog in Sunbeam". (From a while back).

  2. Lovely song. The only movie of hers I've watched so far is Pillow Talk; she was a good leading lady in it. What other movies of hers do you recommend?

    1. I haven't seen all of them by any means, but I do love the old Hitchcock movie- The Man Who Knew Too Much. Please Don't Eat the Daisies is a great favorite of my daughter and I. Young At Heart is more serious, and I thought she was wonderful in it, as was Sinatra. By the Light of the Silvery Moon and Moonlight Bay are great fun. And I liked April in Paris. She is most always cheerful - one of those 'can do' types. I really want to see more of her work.

  3. Oh didn't we all wish we could BE Doris Day? I really enjoy the videos of old favorites like this! (Only recently -- maybe through your blog -- did I realize how many of these were available through YouTube.)

I've been avoiding reading your book reviews for a while -- saving them on my Reader -- because I already have most of the books in queue on my Kindle.

    1. Yes! I was just writing to HKatz of her cheerfulness and 'can do' attitude. Very inspirational. I didn't know they were on You Tube. Thanks!!
It pleases me that you are interested in the books I write about. Thank you for saying so.
