Christmas Snapshots

Because Margaret has to work on Christmas day, we celebrated our Christmas this evening. It was such a lovely time.

Are we watching a cheery Christmas movie? Nope. Michael gave us Jaws!

  5. Hope that today is also enjoyable. I always feel sorry for those who have to work on Christmas Day - especially those whose work may bring them, into contact with folk in pain and suffering.
Not sure that Jaws would be my choice of movie - I'm more likely to be found curled up with Hazel Holt's 'Death in the Family' which I found on the library shelves on Christmas Eve - thanks to you, of course.

  6. Dear Nan

We have a girl working on Christmas Day as well - bringing a little cheer to folks at a nursing home nearby. So we'll celebrate our feast and presents this evening.

So glad you had a wonderful time together.

Wishing you every joy as we celebrate the Saviour's birthday together.

  7. You all look like you're having a wonderful time in your cozy home. Poor Rod's out walking Annie-dog in the storm. 8 degrees, snowy and windy. I'm so glad we canceled our trip. I plan to spend the day reading on the couch. :)

    Merry Christmas, dear friend.

  9. Looks like a party to me! You realize this could mean you have to watch "Jaws" every year from now on, don't you? :-)

Hope your Christmas continues to be happy!

  11. A warm family Christmas, what could be nicer?
May I ask if you made the beautiful quilt that I see on your wall?

  12. Lisa, it was so much fun. Thanks for your good wishes, and late ones back to you.

Susan, it was very cozy and fun.

Kay, the same to you a bit late!

Val, that makes me so happy!

Scriptor, it sort of chose us. :<) Our son gave us a trio of movies we all watched together when the kids were little - the others were Patriot Games and A Clear and Present Danger. I love to think of you reading Mrs Malory.

Island Sparrow, how wonderful of her! I wish the same to you.

Les, it sounds like heaven to me. Reading is what I miss the most during the Advent bustle.

JoAnn, I can't tell you how that pleases me! Really.

J.G., I just burst out laughing when I read your comment!

Kay, thank you dear friend, and the same to you, though late.

K, no! I can't even sew buttons. :<) I bought it. It was made by a local woman and called a crazy quilt, I believe.
