It's The Little Things/Sonny and Cher

I think this is one of the best love songs ever. And my favorite by Sonny and Cher.

  1. Groovy!
At first I was just laughing and then I started to think it was sort of sweet. But then I started laughing again. If you lived in this era at all it's really hard to watch it without laughing.

  2. I lived then, and I don't laugh at all. :<) I thought Cher was at her most beautiful then, and I love the song for the words.

  3. It does have beautiful words. That's what makes it so sweet. I came back to hear it again because I really did like it. Even though I couldn't help laughing at how silly we were back then. Not laughing in a mean way.

  5. Oh, that is so funny you should mention favourite love songs.
I just spent yesterday creating a playlist (playlist.com) and including all of my favourite love songs as well as some recommended ones. I'll be sure to add this to the list(sweet lyrics) as I don't think it is on the list I found here:

  6. What a sweet song. I don't think I've ever heard that one. I remember "I've got you babe"

  7. I always thought they were fun to listen to - and watch their variety program on the tube.

And I also still remember them bringing out Chastity at the end of the show...

    How time does move on...

  8. Lezlie, just after I posted the video, Tom read a news piece about Sonny and Cher's daughter who is going to become a son.

Hip Chick, I think the hard thing for young kids to realize is that as goofy as the styles were as we look back on them, at the time they were quite progressive, popular, and such a change from the way people had looked before!

Donna, Joanne, and Island Sparrow, I'm glad you liked it. I think it has the best words.

  9. Jeff, did you see my note to Lezlie about that little girl?? I must have been writing it just as your comment came in.

  10. "Those were the Days, my Friend... we thought they'd never end..." And I agree - Cher was at her lovliest then. (Could never understand what she saw in Sonny when she could have had me!)

  12. Nan ~ I saw that a few days ago, and just yesterday we read Cher's thoughts. She says she doesn't understand, but she will do her best to be understanding, because she loves her kids. A person can't ask for more than that. I wish Chaz the best!

  13. Nan,

I'm with you, it didn't make me laugh at all. In fact, it made me cry. So innocent and sweet. I miss those times.

    Thanks for sharing this one.

  14. Hey Nan - Yep, I was aware of the current PR swirling around Chastity...er, Chaz.

Times change...sometimes so does gender... :)

  15. I don't remember this one, thanks for sharing. I was a fan of S & C. Don't think you can beat I Got You Babe though. I am still a fan of Cher.

  16. Lezlie, thanks for writing back. I love continuing conversations here. The video I saw said the hope is this will enlighten more people. Though even in my husband's tiny little school there are two kids like Chaz.

Linda, I know just what you mean. So very good to hear from you.

Jeff, I'm smiling. :<) And thank you for coming back.

    Me, too, Cait.
