Letters from a Hill Farm
LOVE your new header, Nan! You really caught that squirrel perfectly. I've always loved spring.
I expect spring here and spring in Hawaii are completely different seasons, Kay! :<) I'm pretty fond of the little squirrel.
Love this quote. Around here, folks get so excited when a little bit of green shows up. They start thinking they can plant gardens and flowers and then......it snows or the temps plummet. One must wait until end of May and not be fooled by April's green start.Loving the squirrely banner.Jody
Same here, Jody! In fact I just read that it is better to wait until the soil is warmer, even with peas. You may have seen a note I wrote last year about thinking Memorial Day 'weekend' was late enough, and realizing after a frost that I needed to stay with the original Memorial Day as the last frost date- the way it has always been. :<)http://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2008/05/garden-notesi-should-have-known-better.html
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
