Letters from a Hill Farm
Do you have a problem with chives taking over your yard? We have some in a portion of what used to be an herb garden, planted by the previous owners of our home, and now I find the chives popping up EVERYWHERE! They are next to impossible to get rid of, so I simply cut them back as I do the nut-grass (which is a terrible weed that spreads when you pull it out of the ground - go figure!).
No. I wish I did. :<) They are in a little patch next to the side door steps and there are four plants. I'm thinking of freezing some this year.
I'll send you some of mine! ;)
Wow! Lucky you. Do they come up every year then?
Yes, Tara, they are perennials even in our zone 3-4. Hooray!
I love baked potatoes - the filling can be as simple as you like, but they are so good (especially given proper baking so that the skin is well done and the inside meltingly soft). I'm getting hungry thinking about them and it's not that long since I left the table after supper!
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
