Letters from a Hill Farm
We just had my homemade blueberry sauce over vanilla ice cream tongight and you are so right to call it blue heaven. I will miss the blueberry season when it is over but have a good supply of berries frozen now from our pickings.
We have a neighbor down the road who grows and sells them. I've already frozen two trays worth today. What a nice treat in winter desserts.
I've been eating these every day with my vanilla yogurt. Delicious for lunch with a little bit of granola sprinkled on top. I really should freeze some!!
Nan, Those little nutritional powerhouses look so delicious! You probably read on my blog early in the summer that I planted 12 bushes. It will be a couple of years until I get a harvest and sadly the local blueberries are so expensive this year!
