Letters from a Hill Farm
Ah Nan! I love reading Miss Read books. They are such quaint and warm, cozy reads. I also love Susan Branch and am anxiously awaiting the release of her new line of quilt fabrics to come out in May. Thanks for sharing the quotes. Hope life is good on your side of the globe!
Heidi, I came upon the Miss Read books when my kids were very small. I was happy to find nearly every one in the local library and I went through both series. I love them. As far as I know, the author is still alive, and if so, just turned 94!
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
